cxm6467@gmail.com. Sigma Alpha Mu or, Sammy for short, prides itself on brotherhood, philanthropy and its strict no hazing policy. Although our history here at RIT may be young, it is filled with memories from brothers that have come from different backgrounds with a common purpose.
Nationally we were founded November 22, 1909 at the City College of New York by a group of eight men that were looking for something different than the typical American fraternity. This has been held true at RIT with our current group being quite diverse; from having brothers in the technology fields to others in majors in environmental science, there is something for everybody here at RIT.
Joining a fraternity or any other major organization is a huge yet rewarding step. When you join a fraternity, you are in turn offered many opportunities to grow as a person in leadership roles. You are not just a brother while you are here at RIT or any university but for life. Again, I invite any questions or concerns anyone would have about joining our fraternity
