Scholarship Goal: Maintain high academic standing for the Chapter, its' members, and its' candidates.


Sigma Alpha Mu encourages its brothers to excel academically as well as socially, because being a social fraternity does not mean academics are not important. As a member or candidate, certain academic standards must be upheld such as a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. Sigma Alpha Mu rewards those who have achieved high standards and as well as those who have improved their grades. Brothers are encouraged to use the many sources of assistance through the brotherhood as well as their RIT programs. Scholarships are often available through our National Office on both need and merit bases. Help is always given to those who ask for it. We are always looking to improve our scholastic endeavors in whatever way possible.
